GTTMS: Generative Theory of Tonal

ABOUT:
GTTMS uses a rule system, similar to Noam Chomsky's generative grammars, to parse music and reveal its structural makeup. GTTMS can be a composition aid, educational tool, and above all, time saver. GTTM analyses are time consuming to do by hand, and this software automates the process entirely. This version of GTTMS performs an analysis on music written in the style of Bach chorales. Specifically, it produces a time-span reduction and Roman numeral analysis.
